Slack time is calculated as the difference between the Latest Start date and the Actual Start date and is shown as a shaded extension to the actual bars in the timelines. (In the Task Timeline, the slack applies to the task itself; in the Resource Timeline, the slack is for the resource’s work on the task.)
When using actual dates, MacProject II calculates a resource’s allocations from the Actual Start dates of tasks to which the resource is assigned.
